Working Principle

Wet material is fed into the rotating drum via a conveyor. As the drum rotates, internal lifting flights shower the material through a stream of hot gas (direct heating) or conduct heat through the drum wall (indirect heating). Moisture evaporates and is carried away by exhaust air, while dried product discharges from the opposite end.
